Cairo University and Egyptian Ministry of Labor launch disability support initiatives

Cairo University organized a field visit to the Association of Veterans and War Disabled in Nasr City to provide medical and humanitarian services. The initiative, held in commemoration of the 53rd anniversary of the October 6 victories, involved multidisciplinary teams from the faculties of medicine, dentistry, nursing, physiotherapy, and other departments to support veterans and those with disabilities.

Separately, the Egyptian Ministry of Labor met with leadership from the American University in Cairo (AUC) to discuss professional development programs for persons with disabilities. The discussions focused on enhancing vocational rehabilitation and integrating individuals into the labor market through training that aligns with actual market needs. The AUC program includes year-long guidance, practical skill development, and English language courses to prepare participants for sustainable employment.
