Cairo University Veterinary Faculty Opens 2026 Postgraduate Admissions

The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Cairo University announced that applications for its postgraduate programmes for the 2026/2027 academic year are open from Sunday 2 August until Sunday 30 August 2026.

The offerings include 14 specialised diploma tracks (e.g., equine care, pet health, poultry, aquaculture, food safety, clinical nutrition, microbiology, pathology, public health and epidemiology) as well as master’s (M.V. Med.) and doctoral (D.V. Med.) degrees covering 23 scientific specialities. Diplomas require 28 credit hours over one to two years; master’s require 36 credit hours (18 coursework, 18 thesis) over two to four semesters; doctorates require 54 credit hours (18 coursework, 36 thesis) over three to five years.

Admission requires a relevant bachelor’s degree, meeting grade thresholds, and passing an approved English language test. The faculty uses a hybrid teaching model with 60 % face‑to‑face and 40 % remote delivery. Applicants must submit documents electronically via the graduate portal, obtain employer approval if employed, coordinate with an academic advisor, and pay tuition fees.
