Cairo‑Giza Morning Traffic Jam Slows Commuters

Heavy traffic congestion hit Cairo and Giza on Monday morning, with notable slowdowns on major bridges, avenues and the Ring Road. Areas such as Dokki, Al‑Ajouza, Sudan Street, Al‑Arab University, Al‑Haram, and the Corniche experienced severe delays, prompting a strong police presence to enforce traffic rules and prevent accidents.

A day earlier, Sunday traffic was generally smoother but still showed medium‑level crowding on key routes, including the October and 15 May bridges in Cairo and the Harem, Faisal and Sudan streets in Giza. The Egyptian General Directorate of Traffic deployed monitoring services, road crews and rapid‑response teams to keep flow steady and address any incidents promptly.
