Cais do Sodré station to reopen in Lisbon on August 27

The Cais do Sodré station in Lisbon is scheduled to reopen to the public on August 27. This reopening will restore normal service on the Green Line between Telheiras and Cais do Sodré in both directions.

To facilitate the final reopening works, the section of the Green Line between Martim Moniz and Cais do Sodré will be closed starting at 23:00 on August 26. During this period, service will operate between Telheiras and Martim Moniz. Other metro lines will function normally.

The station had been temporarily closed since August 8 to allow for railway signaling works. These upgrades are part of the construction of the future Circular Line, which is expected to begin operations in the first quarter of 2027. The new line will connect Rato to Cais do Sodré via the new Estrela and Santos stations, adding over two kilometers to the network and linking the Yellow and Green lines.
