Caitlin Clark denounces hateful messages toward teammate Kelsey Mitchell

Indiana Fever players Caitlin Clark and Lexie Hull addressed the team's recent performance and off-court challenges following their first-round playoff exit against the Las Vegas Aces.

During her season exit interview, Clark denounced the hateful and discriminatory messages directed at teammate Kelsey Mitchell on social media. Clark expressed disappointment regarding the use of racist rhetoric and urged Mitchell, a long-time veteran, to remain with the franchise for another season.

Reflecting on the team's season, Clark noted that while change is difficult, the Fever's early playoff exit was disappointing given the team's health and high expectations. Despite a strong regular season with 28 wins, the team failed to reach the semifinals as they had in 2025. Lexie Hull echoed these sentiments, stating that the team fell short of their championship aspirations.
