Caitlin Clark sets U.S. record in FIBA World Cup debut

Caitlin Clark made a historic debut for the United States at the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup in a match against China. Entering the game from the bench, Clark recorded 14 points, 3 rebounds, and 11 assists, leading the U.S. to a 94-61 victory.

Her 11 assists set a new record for the highest number of assists by a U.S. player in a World Cup debut, surpassing the previous record of 9 held by Alyssa Thomas. Notably, Clark achieved this total without committing a single turnover.
