Caivano worker death investigation focuses on potential evidence tampering

An investigation is underway in Caivano following the death of worker Salvatore Calignano, who fell from a warehouse roof while installing a membrane. Calignano died after 24 hours of agony following the accident.

The victim’s daughter, Valeria Calignano, has accused the employer, Michele De Rosa, of failing to provide timely assistance and attempting to misrepresent the incident as a road accident. She alleges that those present prioritized creating a false narrative over saving her father.

Prosecutors from the Procura di Napoli Nord are investigating potential evidence tampering and omissions. Authorities are conducting forensic examinations of seized mobile phones to clarify the circumstances and determine if there was any deliberate attempt to obstruct justice.
