Caixa Econômica Federal launches installment option for Pix payments

Caixa Econômica Federal has introduced a new feature called ‘Parcelar Pix’, allowing individual customers to pay for transfers and payments in installments. While the recipient receives the full amount instantly, the payer can finance the transaction through a credit line contracted at the moment of the Pix operation.

For eligible customers with available credit limits, the service allows financing amounts ranging from R$ 300 to R$ 50,000, with repayment terms of up to 12 months. Interest rates are determined based on the customer's relationship with the bank. Before confirming the transaction, users can view the interest rate, installment values, Total Effective Cost (CET), and IOF tax to evaluate the impact on their budget.

The availability of this feature depends on a risk analysis conducted by the bank and the existence of an available credit limit. Customers who do not yet have the option enabled are encouraged to keep their registration data updated and use the bank's services regularly to potentially unlock the functionality in future evaluations. The service is available through the latest version of the CAIXA app.
