João Pessoa advances housing and local entrepreneurship initiatives

João Pessoa is advancing several municipal social and economic initiatives. In housing, the federal government delivered 224 housing units at the Villa Bela residential complex under the Minha Casa Minha Vida program. This project, representing a R$ 37.6 million investment, serves families with monthly incomes up to R$ 2,640. Additionally, Caixa Econômica Federal officials praised the city's social work within housing developments, noting that the municipal housing secretariat provides support ranging from family selection to post-occupancy programs including professional qualification and cultural activities.

On the economic front, the city's Feira Móvel project is expanding. A recent planning meeting welcomed over 130 new exhibitors to the initiative. The project continues to support local entrepreneurship and small producers through a scheduled October program across eight different locations, featuring products such as family farming goods, crafts, and sustainable fashion.
