CaixaBank provides 2,500 million euros in tourism financing

CaixaBank’s Hotels & Tourism division provided more than 2,500 million euros in financing to the hotel and tourist accommodation sector in Spain during the first half of the year. The bank formalized over 2,300 credit operations, representing a 1.2% increase compared to the same period last year.

Most of the funding was concentrated in the regions of Balearic Islands, Canary Islands, Madrid, Catalonia, and Andalusia. The resources were primarily used for renovating and updating establishments, acquiring hotel assets, innovation, sustainability, and covering operational and working capital needs.

Between 2020 and 2025, the entity has channeled approximately 19,000 million euros into the tourism sector to support expansion projects and modernization plans. The division currently manages a credit portfolio exceeding 10,500 million euros and serves more than 13,800 tourism-related clients.
