Caja Rural and Kern Pharma strengthen squads with new rider signings

Spanish UCI ProTeam Caja Rural‑Seguros RGA announced the signing of 23‑year‑old Colombian climber Santiago Umba from Boyacá. The team says the mountain specialist will add depth to its climbing roster and accelerate the rider’s development in European races.

Separately, the Spanish Continental outfit Equipo Kern Pharma named three stagiaires – Emilio García, Unax Errasti and Hugo Tapiz – promoting them from its development squad Finisher. Team manager Juanjo Oroz called it a “pride” to give U‑23 talent the chance to race at the professional level, highlighting each rider’s recent results and potential.
