Caja Rural-Seguros RGA renews contracts for Gaviria and Leitão

The professional cycling team Caja Rural-Seguros RGA has announced contract renewals for two key riders: Colombian sprinter Fernando Gaviria and Portuguese Olympic Madison champion Iúri Leitão.

Fernando Gaviria has agreed to extend his stay with the Spanish team for one additional year. Despite a recent clavicle fracture sustained during the Tour de France that has sidelined him, the 32-year-old has proven his value through consistent podium finishes in races such as the Ronde van Limburg and various stages of the Tour of Oman and Tour of Hungary.

Iúri Leitão has secured a two-season extension with the team. The Portuguese rider, who won Olympic gold in Paris, has been a consistent performer for the squad since 2022, securing multiple victories including the Classic Loire Atlantique and stages in the Tour of Hellas. The renewal ensures Leitão will represent the team through the Los Angeles Olympic Games.
