Cal Poly athletics: Soccer draws with Denver; volleyball prepares for 2026 season

Cal Poly men’s soccer opened its season with a 2-2 draw against the University of Denver. After trailing 2-1 following a goal by Denver’s Keegan Kelly, Cal Poly secured an equalizer in the 89th minute when Charlie Hogan converted a cross from Peyton Marmion.

In women’s volleyball, Cal Poly is preparing for the 2026 season following a historic 2025 campaign that included a Big West Tournament Championship and a Sweet Sixteen appearance in the NCAA Tournament. The Mustangs will participate in 10 preseason matches, including matchups against Texas A&M, Arkansas State, Grand Canyon University, Arizona State, and Stanford.
