Calabria adopts new flood risk management plan

The Calabria regional government has initiated a programmatic conference to adopt a draft flood risk management plan. Presided over by Vice President Filippo Mancuso, the meeting included mayors from the provinces of Catanzaro, Crotone, and Vibo Valentia.

The plan, which follows a period of intense territorial consultation involving approximately 1,000 observations from local municipalities, aims to improve the prevention and management of hydrogeological risks. Officials noted that the plan is designed to be dynamic, allowing for future modifications if specific interventions successfully mitigate risks.
