Calabrian Eccellenza football season begins with multiple opening victories

The Calabrian Eccellenza football championship has commenced, marking the start of the regional amateur season. The opening matchday saw several notable performances from teams in the Reggio Calabria and Cosenza regions.

In the Reggio Calabria area, Virtus Rosarno, Pro Pellaro, and Deliese secured away victories. Specifically, Virtus Rosarno defeated ReggioRavagnese 2-0, Pro Pellaro beat Sersale 2-0, and Deliese achieved a 4-1 win against Soriano. Additionally, Rossanese secured a 3-0 home victory against SC Soverato.

In the Cosenza region, home teams saw significant success. Rossanese, Trebisacce, DB Rossoblù Luzzi, and Morrone all recorded home wins. Trebisacce defeated Brancaleone 2-0, while DB Rossoblù Luzzi beat Isola Capo Rizzuto 3-0. Morrone also secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Gioiosa Jonica.
