Calabria faces highest inflation rate in Italy at 3.5%

Calabria is facing significant economic challenges, recording the highest inflation rate in Italy at 3.5%, surpassing the national average of 2.9%. This rise in prices is compounded by structural and logistical difficulties in the region, including high energy and fuel costs that impact the entire supply chain.

Giovanni Cugliari, president of CNA Calabria, has called for increased disposable income and reduced labor costs to prevent the exodus of young professionals. He emphasized that without better opportunities and stable employment, the region risks losing its skilled human capital to other territories.
