Calabria launches €41 million industrial area redevelopment program

The Calabria regional government has published a tender worth over €41 million to redevelop its former ZES industrial zones. The call, issued through the regional agency Arsai and led by its president Sergio Abramo, splits the works into north, centre and south lots. Planned interventions include road refurbishment, energy‑efficient lighting, upgraded horizontal and vertical signage, video‑surveillance systems and measures to improve safety and environmental sustainability.

The programme follows a broader regional strategy championed by President Roberto Occhiuto and the Department of Labour, Enterprises and Productive Areas, aiming to modernise the industrial sites, attract new investment and boost employment in the Calabria economy.
