Calabria launches care allowance program for severe disabilities

The Calabria Region has launched public notices across all its Social Territorial Areas (Ats) to provide care allowances for individuals with severe disabilities and their families. The initiative aims to ensure direct home assistance through a monthly economic contribution paid over twelve months.

The program is supported by a total fund of 14.78 million euros from the National Fund for Non-Self-Sufficiency, which the regional government has already transferred to local authorities. To ensure uniform criteria and equal treatment across all municipalities, the Region provided operational guidelines and a standardized notice model to local offices to prevent bureaucratic delays.
