Calabria promotes agricultural biodiversity and olive oil innovation

The Calabria region is actively promoting its agricultural sector through international participation and specialized training. At the Terra Madre event in Turin, Slow Food Calabria, in collaboration with the Calabria Region and ARSAC, presented initiatives focused on protecting biodiversity and using food as a tool for social and environmental change.

Additionally, the Academy Olivo in Campo Calabria, organized by the Calabria Region and ARSAC, recently concluded a two-day program aimed at strengthening the olive oil supply chain. The event addressed critical challenges such as climate change, Xylella management, and modernizing production techniques. The program included technical training on irrigation and pruning, as well as strategic discussions on international markets, certifications, and economic revitalization for the sector.
