Calabria promotes cultural heritage and local resilience

The Calabria region is highlighting its cultural and historical identity through various narratives and initiatives. One perspective focuses on the resilience of local residents, such as journalist Lino Fresca, who has continued his work in the face of intimidation and criminal activity in the region.

Simultaneously, the Locride area is hosting ‘Luce sui parchi’, a cultural program running from August 24 to 30. The initiative aims to promote archaeological sites through music, theater, and cultural tours. Supported by the Ministry of Tourism, the project seeks to transform historical locations into spaces for community engagement and tourism development.
