Calabria Region unblocks 2.2 million euros for local artisans
The Calabria Region has unblocked over 2.2 million euros to support the local artisan sector. This initiative, led by the Department of Labor, Enterprises, and Productive Areas, aims to provide an immediate injection of liquidity to micro and small businesses without waiting for new financial flows.
Regional Councilor for Labor and Economic Development, Giovanni Calabrese, stated that the measure provides a timely response to a sector fundamental to the region's economy and identity. The operation was carried out through a synergy with Fincalabra and a rigorous assessment of available economies.
Industry organizations, including Confartigianato Imprese Calabria and CNA Calabria, welcomed the decision. Salvatore Ascioti, president of Confartigianato Imprese Calabria, noted that while the move is a positive signal for a strategic sector, there remains a need to complete procedures quickly and ensure continuity for future investment tools.
