Calabria Road Trip 2026 announced by Xploring Kalabria and DomExplore

Xploring Kalabria and DomExplore have announced the ‘Calabria Road Trip 2026’, a 15-day immersive travel experience scheduled from October 13 to October 27, 2026. The project aims to promote slow tourism and showcase the Calabria region outside of the traditional summer tourist season.

The itinerary traverses the region from north to south, covering the Tyrrhenian and Ionian coasts, the Sila and Aspromonte massifs, medieval villages, and wild beaches. Key locations include Locride, the Aspromonte area, the Costa degli Dei, the Pollino National Park, and the Magna Grecia sites near Crotone.

Participants will engage in authentic local experiences, such as trekking in national parks, visiting artisanal workshops, and meeting with Grecanica and Arbëreshe communities. The trip also features tastings of regional products, including honey, citron, Cirò DOC wine, and local cheeses, with accommodations ranging from agriturismi and B&Bs to mountain refuges and camping.
