Calabria to host Istituto Nazionale Azzurro initiatives and environmental programs
The Istituto Nazionale Azzurro (INA) has announced that Calabria will be a central focus for its 2026/2027 institutional year. During a Board of Directors meeting held at the Sanctuary of Madonna della Consolazione in Reggio Calabria, leadership outlined a strategic plan to integrate institutional, cultural, and spiritual activities with humanitarian efforts.
The program aims to strengthen the connection between the Calabrian territory and the Vatican. The INA expects participation from high-ranking Catholic Church officials, including a Cardinal and several Bishops, to support solidarity projects in the region.
In a related spiritual initiative, the Laudato Si’ Circles of Maida and Lamezia Terme, alongside CDA Calabria ODV, have launched the ‘Tempo del Creato 2026’ (Time of Creation 2026). Following an opening in Assisi, the program will move to Calabria throughout September. Centered on the theme ‘Acqua Viva – dal nostro territorio’ (Living Water – from our territory), the initiative includes workshops, contemplative walks, and community celebrations to promote environmental stewardship and civic engagement.
