Calabria to host Italian Taekwondo Championships

The Calabria region will host the Italian Taekwondo Championships from October 16 to 18 at the PalaEventi in Rossano, Corigliano-Rossano. This marks the first time the region has hosted the national event in ten years, following the last edition held in Reggio Calabria in 2016.

The three-day event will include the junior and senior red belt championships, the Under 21 black belt championships, and the Master championships. The competition is expected to draw hundreds of athletes from across Italy and is noted as the federation's event with the highest number of participants during the sporting season.

Olympic and world champion Simone Alessio will serve as the event's testimonial and is scheduled to participate in meetings with local schools. The championships are supported by CONI, CIP, the Municipality of Corigliano-Rossano, and the Calabria Region.
