Calabria to host new Canale 5 television series

A new television series titled ‘Madre Terra – Il Segreto delle Origini’ will be filmed in the Calabria region of Italy. The production, a co-production between RTI and Aurora TV – Banijay, is supported by the Calabria Film Commission.

Directed by Cinzia TH Torrini, the series is scheduled to air next season in six 100-minute episodes. The narrative is set against the backdrop of Calabria, specifically utilizing locations such as Corigliano-Rossano in the province of Cosenza. The story is described as a saga involving mystery, family rivalries, and romantic elements, inspired by the director's interest in the bergamot fruit.
