Calabria transparency report: 48 municipalities fail to publish confiscated assets
The fourth edition of the RimanDATI report, produced by Libera in collaboration with Gruppo Abele, the University of Turin, and Istat, reveals varying levels of transparency regarding assets confiscated from organized crime in Italy.
In Calabria, 88 out of 136 municipalities (64.7%) currently publish lists of seized properties on their institutional websites. While this represents an improvement from previous years, 48 municipalities remain non-compliant. The Calabria Region is also noted for failing to make its list available.
On a national scale, transparency has seen a significant increase. Out of 1,174 municipalities receiving confiscated assets, 938 (79.8%) are complying with publication requirements. This marks a 15% growth rate compared to the previous monitoring period.
