Calabria transport subsidies for Carabinieri under review

UNARMA Calabria is calling for certainty regarding regional public transport subsidies for Carabinieri personnel. Fabio Riccio, the Regional General Secretary of UNARMA Calabria, met with Filippo Mancuso, Vice President of the Calabria Region, to address difficulties in accessing discounted transit passes.

Regional regulations currently provide tariff concessions to members of the Police Forces, Armed Forces, and the National Fire Corps, subject to available resources. Riccio emphasized that these measures are essential for commuting personnel to manage daily expenses and family budgets. He stressed that the goal is to ensure continuity and prevent the annual uncertainty that affects those using public transport to reach their service stations.

Mancuso expressed willingness to intervene by consulting with Gianluca Gallo, the regional assessor for transport, who has previously addressed the issue. UNARMA Calabria has called for formal action to follow these discussions to ensure uninterrupted service for members.
