Calafell begins allocation of 110 affordable rental homes

The municipality of Calafell has begun the allocation process for 110 affordable rental homes located between the town center and the beach. A total of 321 candidates have applied for the units across two residential blocks.

Priority will be given to family units that have been registered residents of the municipality for more than two years. To qualify, rent must represent more than 30% of the family unit's income, with minimum gross annual income requirements ranging from 21,000 to 31,125 euros depending on the rent level. The 14-million-euro construction project was financed through a credit from the Institut Català de Finances to Grup Rubau, with three million euros covered by Next Generation funds.
