Calama Municipality opens recruitment for 34 security officials

The Municipality of Calama has launched a recruitment process to hire 34 new personnel for its Public Security Directorate. The positions include 30 Municipal Security Inspectors and four Shift Supervisors, intended to strengthen preventive security efforts in the commune during the final quarter of 2026.

Selected staff will be responsible for preventive patrols, municipal inspections, emergency support, and community coordination, as well as collaborating with Carabineros de Chile. Shift supervisors will also be tasked with organizing and overseeing personnel during their respective shifts.

The selection process consists of three stages: background evaluation, personal interviews, and mandatory physical and psychological health accreditation. Applications must be submitted by 12:00 PM on Friday, September 4, 2026. Final results are expected to be announced on September 29, with induction and training scheduled for September 30.
