Calamity Mod development abandoned amid misconduct allegations

Development of the popular Terraria expansion, the Calamity Mod, has been abandoned following sexual misconduct allegations against its lead developer, Ozzatron. The developer is accused of engaging in inappropriate conversations on an NSFW Discord server with individuals claiming to be as young as 15.

In addition to these allegations, the team reported that Ozzatron has become unresponsive and is allegedly withholding Patreon funds intended to pay the development staff. The remaining team members have cited toxic collaboration and manipulation as further reasons for their departure, with many requesting their assets be removed from the project to avoid association with the controversy.

Reports indicate that the development team previously rejected an offer of assistance from streamer xQc. This incident follows similar grooming allegations involving a former project leader, Fabsol, in 2022.
