Calcinelli inaugurates renovated Claudio Ciancamerla gymnasium

The Claudio Ciancamerla multi-purpose gymnasium in Calcinelli has been officially inaugurated following an extensive redevelopment project. The facility is now available for use by local schools, sports clubs, and the broader community.

The renovation involved a total investment of 1.755 million euros, which included 700,000 euros from the national ‘Sport e Periferie’ grant. Additional funds were allocated for energy efficiency, new sports equipment, and locker room upgrades. Key improvements include seismic retrofitting, energy efficiency enhancements, functional redevelopment, and the removal of architectural barriers.

Due to its upgrades, the gymnasium has been classified as a Class IV strategic building, meaning it can serve as a community reference point during emergencies or natural disasters.
