Calcio Catania historical logo auction enters decisive phase

The online auction for the historical Calcio Catania logo is approaching its deadline, with competition intensifying among several key bidders. The auction, which began on October 15 with a starting price of 55,000 euros, is scheduled to conclude on October 22 at 11:00 AM, though late bids may extend the process.

As of the latest updates, Catania FC, owned by Ross Pelligra, has taken a lead with an offer of 76,500 euros. This follows a bid of 76,000 euros from Revolution Group Srl, a local company specializing in window frames. The Municipality of Catania has also participated in the procedure, though reports suggest the administration may not intend to place further bids beyond its initial proposal, which had already been surpassed by offers exceeding 70,000 euros.

A former Catania youth player and entrepreneur based in Lazio initially participated but reportedly withdrew from the contest after the Municipality entered the auction. The outcome remains uncertain as bidders can respond to competing offers in minimum increments of 500 euros.
