A recent bullfighting event in Caldas da Rainha has drawn criticism regarding the unconventional organization of its lineup. The event featured six bulls from two ranches, but the distribution of participants deviated from traditional standards of ethics and respect among performers.

The lineup included two 'cavaleiros de alternativa' (António Ribeiro Telles and Francisco Palha), one 'cavaleiro praticante' (Vasco Veiga), one bullfighter (Tomás Bastos), and two groups of 'forcados' (Santarém and Caldas da Rainha). Critics noted that the arrangement did not follow the established custom where participants typically handle an equal number of bulls, suggesting the structure failed to respect the distinct statuses of the various performers.
