Caleb Amisi launches People’s Renaissance Movement party

Saboti Member of Parliament Caleb Amisi has officially launched the People’s Renaissance Movement (PM) party to contest the 2027 General Election in Kenya. During the launch in Nairobi, Amisi stated that the party aims to achieve “economic liberation, economic renaissance and economic justice” for the nation.

Amisi characterized the current political era as a “fourth liberation,” calling on the current generation to pursue economic empowerment with patriotism and courage. The launch was attended by various political figures, including former Chief Justice David Maraga and party leaders such as Martha Karua and Eugene Wamalwa.

The formation of the PM party follows Amisi’s removal from the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) National Executive Committee earlier this year. According to the party’s membership recruitment head, Samuel Mwenyekenye, the movement has already established a presence in all 47 counties and has registered over 5,000 members across 26 counties.
