Caleb Amisi launches PM Party amid allegations of driver arrest

Saboti Member of Parliament Caleb Amisi has accused authorities of misusing state power following the arrest of a driver for the People’s Renaissance Movement (PM Party). Amisi alleged that the driver was transported in unmarked vehicles within Embu County and that the party’s truck was confiscated, preventing scheduled publicity efforts in Tharaka Nithi.

The incident follows Amisi’s recent launch of the PM Party, which aims to focus on economic liberation and justice ahead of the 2027 General Election. Amisi has transitioned away from the Linda Mwananchi pressure group, citing disagreements over the movement's direction and its failure to adhere to his original vision for generational change.

To establish the new party's presence, Amisi has initiated a grassroots campaign strategy, including a caravan through Tharaka Nithi County with stops in Chogoria, Marima, Ndagani, and Chuka.
