Caleb Williams lauds Bears wideout Luther Burden as key target
Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams praised second‑year wide receiver Luther Burden III, saying the youngster “makes the first guy miss every time” and is a “friendly receiver” with strong route running. Williams highlighted Burden’s ability to catch both easy and difficult passes and his contributions on kick returns.
Burden logged 47 receptions for 652 yards and two touchdowns as a rookie, added six rushes for 37 yards and 223 return yards, and was drafted in the second round (No. 39 overall). With veteran DJ Moore traded to Buffalo, Burden is expected to move up the depth chart alongside fellow rookie Rome Odunze and could become a primary target in the Bears’ offense for the 2026 season.
