Calese Crowder arrested in Glendale for parole violation

Calese Crowder, a 39-year-old registered sex offender, was arrested in Glendale, California, on suspicion of violating his parole. The arrest followed reports of suspicious behavior at local businesses on Friday afternoon.

Glendale police responded to a store in the 1500 block of West Glenoaks Boulevard after reports of a man “hunkered down” and attempting to sniff people. Officers also received a similar report regarding a Marshalls department store near South Brand Boulevard and East Broadway. After reviewing surveillance footage from both locations, police identified Crowder and located him in the 100 block of South Brand Boulevard.

Crowder has a documented history of similar offenses in Glendale and Burbank dating back to 2021. His previous incidents include allegations of lewd behavior at a Nordstrom Rack and a Barnes and Noble bookstore. He was previously ordered to serve more than 100 days in jail after admitting to parole violations in the past.
