Calgary man charged in $20,000 3D printer theft

A 31-year-old Calgary man, Brent Kuzma, has been charged following a home break-in that resulted in the theft of approximately $20,000 worth of 3D printers and accessories.

According to Calgary police, the theft occurred between June 13 and June 15, 2026, at a residence in the Varsity community. The investigation began after the victim identified the stolen items being advertised for sale online. Following a search warrant executed on August 18 in the Dalhousie community, officers recovered 17 printers and six spools of filament.

Kuzma faces charges including trafficking stolen goods over $5,000, possession of stolen property over $5,000, and two counts of failing to comply with release orders. He is scheduled to appear in court this coming Monday.
