Calgary search intensifies for missing 11‑year‑old Parker Wells

Calgary police have entered their eighth day of searching for 11‑year‑old Parker Wells, who vanished on July 16 in the Travis Crescent neighbourhood. Real estate agents have organized a coordinated effort, with agents like Justine Poirier saying they are checking every vacant home and even reviewing door‑bell footage, describing the work as “busy” and likening it to a spreadsheet of listings that each realtor is assigned to search.

Police are deploying all available resources, including drones that scan waterways and riverbanks and mounted patrol units that reach terrain difficult for foot teams. A police statement noted that the Remote Piloted Aircraft System “helps focus resources where they are most needed.” Residents have also joined the effort, with community members such as Hailey and her daughter Geo participating in searches despite personal sacrifices.

The combined civilian and law‑enforcement response aims to cover every possible avenue as authorities continue to urge the public to report any information that could lead to Parker’s whereabouts.
