Calgary Stampeders quarterback Vernon Adams Jr. placed on reserve roster

The Calgary Stampeders will be without starting quarterback Vernon Adams Jr. for their upcoming Week 13 matchup against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. Adams Jr. has been placed on the reserve roster due to a head injury sustained during a Week 11 game against the B.C. Lions.

Josh Love is set to make his first CFL start for Calgary. Love previously entered the game in Week 11, completing six of 10 passes for 58 yards and one interception. Through 10 games, Adams Jr. has recorded 2,548 passing yards, 22 touchdowns, and two interceptions.

Other roster updates for the Stampeders include the return of kicker Rene Paredes, who will make his season debut after missing 10 games due to injury. Running back Dedrick Mills, who was also injured in Week 11, participated in practice this week and is listed as the starter for Saturday's game.
