Cali authorities launch socioeconomic assessment in Santa Rosa
The Cali Mayor's Office has launched a seven-day characterization initiative in the Santa Rosa sector of Ciudad Paraíso as part of the Plan Cristo Rey. Teams from the Secretariats of Social Welfare and Education are conducting door-to-door visits to assess the socioeconomic and health conditions of local households.
The assessment aims to identify specific needs, including access to healthcare services, medical appointments, and medication delivery. Officials are also looking to identify vulnerable populations, such as children and adolescents requiring special attention, migrants, victims of armed conflict, persons with disabilities, and homeless individuals.
Additionally, the teams are verifying potential damages or impacts reported by residents following the earthquake that occurred on August 10.
