One month after the 7.4 magnitude earthquake centered in Chocó, Colombia continues its recovery efforts. The disaster has resulted in more than 300 deaths nationwide, with 154 fatalities recorded in Cali.

Humanitarian aid has flowed significantly into the region. The Cali Mayor's Office has managed over 700 tons of donations, including food, medical supplies, and hygiene products. International support has been substantial, with over 650 tons of aid arriving from various nations, including Ecuador, which has sent supplies through the Rumichaca International Bridge.

In Risaralda, sixteen universities have pledged technical expertise to assist in the reconstruction process. This collaboration aims to provide structural evaluations, engineering designs, and project management to help municipalities secure necessary funding for rebuilding infrastructure.
