In Carmel Valley Village, located within the Monterey AVA, tasting rooms are concentrated along Carmel Valley Road, allowing visitors to explore multiple vineyards within a short distance. The area is accessible via a short drive from Monterey or Carmel-by-the-Sea and features a year-round farmers market on Sundays.

Paso Robles is a significant wine region situated between Los Angeles and San Francisco, encompassing over 200 vineyards and 40,000 acres of grapes. The region contains 11 distinct American Viticultural Areas (AVAs), which contribute to a wide variety of grape profiles. It is particularly noted for red wines, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Merlot, and Zinfandel, as well as various Spanish, Italian, Rhône, and Bordeaux varieties.
