Justin Lester, a Baptist pastor in Vallejo, California, has created an AI-based digital twin of himself. The virtual version is designed to interact with congregants, allowing them to ask questions and engage in dialogue.

The AI model was built by integrating Lester’s YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram accounts, along with his published books and past sermons. The system is updated daily to maintain accuracy.

To ensure safety, the tool includes specific guardrails. It is programmed to only discuss topics within the pastor's expertise and is designed to redirect users to the actual pastor if they raise serious issues such as violence or suicide.
