California Pizza Kitchen partners with T-ROC Global for automated retail expansion
California Pizza Kitchen (CPK) has partnered with T-ROC Global to expand its automated retail presence across the United States. The collaboration aims to deploy up to 1,000 automated retail machines nationwide over the next three years.
These kiosks are designed for high-traffic locations where traditional restaurant footprints may be impractical, such as airports, universities, hospitals, hotels, office complexes, and sports venues. The technology utilizes TurboChef-powered cooking, touchscreen interfaces, and data-driven intelligence to prepare food, including pizzas, in as little as 90 seconds.
While pizza is a primary focus, the menu is expected to include items such as Kung Pao and Bolognese spaghetti, various Mac ‘N’ Cheese dishes, and the brand’s Butter Cake. CPK has already begun testing automated retail at several airports, including Boston Logan, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta, Dallas Love Field, and Dayton International. The company also plans to activate 15 units at universities by the end of 2026.
