California residents indicted for crypto‑fueled darknet drug trafficking and ghost‑gun manufacturing

A federal grand jury in the Southern District of Florida indicted Los Angeles residents Nicholas Aguilar, 44, and Jessica Marcolina, 37, on July 15, 2026. The pair allegedly operated a darknet vendor called “HotGirlzClub,” distributing fentanyl and methamphetamine nationwide and shipping more than 500 parcels in a seven‑month span in 2025.

Prosecutors say the duo laundered hundreds of thousands of dollars in cryptocurrency proceeds from the drug sales and that Aguilar also ran an illegal ghost‑gun manufacturing operation, producing firearm components and suppressors. The charges include conspiracy to distribute controlled substances, conspiracy to commit money laundering and illicit firearms manufacturing. If convicted, each faces a potential life sentence on the drug count and up to 20 years on the money‑laundering count.

The investigation was conducted by a Homeland Security Investigations task force with assistance from the IRS Criminal Investigation, DEA, FBI, U.S. Postal Inspection Service and other federal agencies.
