California universities welcome new students with fall orientation programs

Universities in California have launched orientation programs to welcome incoming students for the fall semester.

At UC Berkeley, the Golden Bear Orientation provided a week of programming to assist new students with their transition to campus life. During the Fall Convocation at Haas Pavilion, Chancellor Rich Lyons addressed over 9,000 students, encouraging them to engage deeply with their education and support their peers.

San Francisco State University hosted the ‘Living in SF Transition Experience,’ a four-day program for residential students. The initiative focused on building community and helping students navigate San Francisco through small-group activities, including trips to Fisherman’s Wharf, and introducing them to campus resources and public transportation.
