California Water Service Group named to Newsweek’s greenest companies list

California Water Service Group has been named to Newsweek’s “World’s Greenest Companies” list for 2026. The company is one of only two water utilities included in the ranking, which features 850 companies from 28 countries.

The assessment was conducted by Newsweek in partnership with Plant-A Insights Group and GIST Impact. The methodology evaluated companies with more than 500 employees based on over 25 parameters across four key areas: greenhouse gas emissions, water usage, waste generation, and sustainability data disclosures and commitments. The ranking also incorporated media coverage analysis and compared companies against sustainability standards set by the European Union.
