California Wine Country celebrates Crush Season and LGBTQ+ Pride

California’s Wine Country is entering Crush Season, the period from late summer through early November when wineries harvest and press grapes for fermentation. This season offers opportunities for visitors to engage with agricultural rituals in Napa and Sonoma counties.

The region is seeing increased support for the LGBTQ+ community. St. Helena recently hosted its inaugural dedicated Pride Day event in partnership with Napa Pride, featuring local vendors, food trucks, and performers.

Upcoming regional events include Russian River Pride in Guerneville and Johnson’s Beach from September 16–20. The Sonoma County event will feature a parade on Main Street and a riverfront festival. Additionally, Out in the Vineyard will host Autumn Harvest tours across both Napa and Sonoma counties.
