Cali‑Jamundí Avenue Cañasgordas detours start for three‑month expansion

Detour plans for drivers traveling between Cali and Jamundí on Avenida Cañasgordas begin on Thursday, 30 July, and will remain in effect for about three months while a second carriageway is constructed. Vehicles must shift from the existing lane to the new lane between Parque Akuática and the Chontaduro sector.

The project includes drainage works and the connection of the new western carriageway to the existing road. Valle del Cauca’s Secretary of Infrastructure, Frank Alexander Ramírez, said the first layer of the new carriageway is already fully paved and the works will improve traffic flow and safety. Drivers are urged to review their routes and obey posted signs during the construction period.
